Freight shippers and forwarders are facing a potential shortage of logistics capacity in the air cargo sector, as companies are already operating at their limits. Meanwhile, demand continues to grow 🤔

Challenges are even emerging at the cargo handling level at airports. However, the most critical issue remains insufficient aircraft capacity ✈️

Experts say this is due to the slow entry of new wide-body aircraft into the market, with delays linked to technical issues among manufacturers. As a result, supply chain disruptions are expected, according to specialists. The consulting firm IBA recently announced that aircraft deliveries worldwide have significantly lagged behind forecasts set at the beginning of 2024.

This delay affects both the cargo and passenger segments of aviation. For example, delays in new aircraft deliveries have slowed the growth of the passenger fleet compared to 2023. Now, analysts predict that recovery to 2018 levels won’t happen until 2026. A similar situation is observed in the cargo aircraft sector as well.
